Olive Designs was formed in 1998 for lobby, lounge, and other
contract seating and table applications.
Before current environmental standards and building rating systems, Olive
Designs' founder, David Mahood, saw a great need for a reconciliation of
technology and ecology. The influence of E.O. Wilson and other naturalists, helped
shape the identity of Olive Designs and form a connection to nature. Olive
Designs has committed to minimize waste, reduce environmental impact, and
preserve our lone habitat for future generations.
All Olive Designs products have in excess of 50% recycled
content, have low or no VOC emissions, are constructed of materials that
rarely get recycled, and in some cases, are offered in industry unique
components. And most importantly, despite its high recycled content, Olive
Designs' furnishings are sophisticated, uncompromised, and award-winning.
Olive Designs was named after the plight of an endangered species called the olive ridley sea turtle.Sea turtles are nearing the end of their existence after 100 million years on earth. Olive Designs donates a percentage of profits from each order to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehab Hospital. |
